2 day - Pottery Workshop
Join me for a creative, hands-on two-day pottery workshop at my Vancouver studio. In this class, you’ll learn the art of hand-building pottery as you craft your own custom mug and trinket dish, which can also serve as a soap dish or spoon rest.
On Day 1, you’ll shape your pieces and choose from a variety of stamps and letters to add unique patterns and textures.
The following week, on Day 2, we’ll decorate with underglaze paints, adding color and finishing touches to make your creations one-of-a-kind.
This class is perfect for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter. You’ll leave with two unique pottery pieces to cherish or gift.
What’s included: All materials for this class are included. Once the class is over, your work will be fired in a kiln and finished with your glaze of choice. Please allow up to five weeks for your piece to be ready for pick-up. To ensure quality, I slow-dry each piece for two weeks, which helps prevent cracking or damage in the kiln. Since I don’t have my own kiln, firing and glazing require an additional two-week turnaround. Once the pieces are done, you will be notified for pick up arrangements. Please bring an appropriate container/bag to transport your piece. Pieces will only be held for up to 30 days starting from the finish date.
Stamp Themes: Choose from a variety of fun themes, including plants, home decor, cats, dogs, fruits, vegetables, flowers, mountains, desert landscapes, cacti, snowboarding, skiing, cycling, camping, Christmas, and more.
Space is Limited: With a maximum of 6 participants, this class offers an intimate setting, allowing for plenty of personalized instruction. Open to ages 16 and up.
Location: 1507 Powell St, On the 2nd floor, above Andina Brewery. The staircase is located outside, on the east side of the building in the parking lot area. Please note that the parking lot is reserved for Andina Brewery and other building members, but street parking is available nearby.
